All of our courses and workshops are held at Forza Pilates & Wellness Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Forza will be opening a new Open Classical Studio in the same location where all the courses will be held. This new space is much larger than the current private classical room.
Forza has invested in a full studio worth of classical apparatus handmade in Italy by Tecnopilates. The studio will have multiple classical reformers, chairs, barrels, towers and other apparatus making it an ideal learning environment. Tecnopilates classical apparatus is extremely high quality, made to Joseph Pilates specifications and dimensions and also specially treated to withstand the humidity of our tropical climate.
We are passionate about quality over quantity - and have learned from our pilot program that smaller groups creates more capable confident instructors. Our courses will be capped at 9 pax - this number has been determined by the number of apparatus that the studio will have ensuring that everyone will have sufficient time to practise demoing and teaching the exercises during the course.
Classical pilates is the pilates system as designed by Joseph Pilates. The apparatus, exercises and sequencing is aligned with his original vision and we have not created our own unique method inspired by his work. As classical pilates instructors and movement enthusiasts we have found that the classical method is the strongest foundation to have when developing a pilates career. It gives you the knowledge and ability to both teach in classical studios on classical equipment and to teach in contemporary group studios. If you would like to discuss this further we recommend booking a discovery call!
A bridge candidate is a practising pilates instructor who is comprehensively certified across all apparatus. In your discovery call Christina will have a discussion with you about whether or not your previous training and current teaching schedule qualifies you for this option.
For our full comprehensive program (not short courses) you will be provided with free access to Forza's Open Classical Studio for your practice teaching and self practise hours. There will be predetermined times both during the week and on the weekend where you will be able to book in to use the equipment. Our program also offers free supervised teaching hours and observation hours in the studio.
We are extremely excited to have partnered with Patricia Medros (master pilates instructor residing in Rome, Italy) and Dato' Dr Nick Boden (renowned chiropractor in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) to bring you two amazing educational modules to be completed online prior to your course beginning. Patricia's module focuses on the pelvic floor and breathing, while Dato Nick's focuses on anatomy. More information about these exciting modules will be provided during your discovery call.
